I met up with our new Worship Pastor's wife, Jismarie, at church and we went to Starbucks...then we headed over to Milton High School so I could introduce her to Renee and to the Cirque director Larry Smith to see if they may need her to provide workshops, etc.  We were there for 2 and 1/2 hours....we brought her STILTS in and she demonstrated how to use them then let the kids try them out!

Here she goes!

Renee said the straps were KILLING her legs!!!  She immediately had to get off!

I came home from Milton HS and Noah got off the bus and the hand he hurt after the game on Wednesday night was all swollen!  He was giving High 5's after the game and someone ran into his hand....it hurt him enough to take medicine...and he was a little nauseous he said....I figured he just hurt it....He has been favoring it.  Then he tells me he has been eating with his LEFT hand and only using his right hand to write!  I called Dr. Orris right away and they were about to close and they said come right in....actually what they said was WASN'T HE JUST HERE FOR A HURT ARM????  I was embarrassed...;-)

We went...he was x-rayed....and NO FRACTURE thankfully but he did put a little splint on his finger where it hurts the most to make it feel better.

Today I went to Zumba at 9:40 and 10:45 for the toning class....It was awesome!
Yay!!!  Our first real, regular rehearsal with Christian!  It was great!

Grocery Shopping!~
I didn't take a picture of anything today....Basically, I made some appointments, etc., made a Chore Excel Spreadsheet, and went to Zumba today and normal household "stuff"....

Tomorrow I am going to start working again on the scrapbooking project I agreed to work on for my mom...I have been dreading it but need to get it done and I have a LOOOOOOOONG way to go.
Today Chris got up early to get ready to go to the airport to head to Phoenix, Arizona...we got up then and went to Sunday School and church...Since we had our afternoon classes at church earlier than normal we just went to get Burger King and then to class at 2:00....When we got home at 4:30 Noah was eager to jump into doing chores so he could earn money....

Meanwhile Jonah is having a meltdown about having to read a book for his book report before he gets to do his chores!  He says I "NEVER LET HIM DO HIS CHORES TO EARN MONEY"...Let me assure you he has PLENTY of time to do it! ;) but he chooses to play...now HE wants to do it but is freaking out that it is not going as he planned!  OH, the "joys" of motherhood!  WHO said that?!?!

Okay...well not necessarily "go away" just wait until we go to sleep!  Jonah's game was rained out and because a "threat" of a tornado or severe thunderstorm coming we are skipping the Alpha Expo at our church that included a BBQ dinner....we are going to be heading out to pick up a bite to eat and then we are going to go to Milton High School for their 1st Cirque program!

......................................................................................................................................................................

Well, we went to Glosoli at Milton High School and I thought it was pretty good considering this was their FIRST performance at their school of a cirque program...Noah said he liked a 1/4 of it and the rest was boring...He DID say he would like to do some of that and even asked if they do that in Venezuela...I said no, but even at OUR high school, West Forsyth, they don't offer this (as far as I know!)...This is new to Milton this year...Noah said he would rather move there (to that school district than move to Venezuela)...he said this after the 1st half....Well, we know that won't happen...

Well, this is going to be a busy week-end starting this morning!  I went to my leg doctor to have him check my incision that opened (said everything was good) and to do more sclerotherapy.  I normally take a "before" picture so I can track the progress after I get the injections and check it weeks later to see how it has worked.  I forgot my "before" picture so I snapped this right after he injected my veins...He did a lot this time and it hurt more than normal....you can see it swelling where he injected them...the swelling is larger than normal too for some reason....

I just came home and found out that it was not approved by insurance so I owe the entire amount!  I thought it WAS and that they would have told me if it wasn't....I am waiting to get a call back...I am wondering if they never submitted the request or something....I hope it works out!  Either way, I needed another session!

Then I went to DOTs (again!) to exhange some clothes...found a REALLY cute shirt!

After I came home and did some "bidness" here I went to help out in Jonah's class...they were making oobleck!  I also read part of the story which was really cute!

I am not sure my hands will survive though!!!

We went to our Sunday School party at the Worley's house which was an awesome entertaining house!  I just made 2 pictures...should have made more of their pool and pergola, etc.  We had a nice time of fellowship.

Tonight Jonah played a great game....they lost 17-12 but it was tied or within 2 runs the entire game until the end.  The team they played is #1 and have been creaming everyone else and this was the closest game they have played.  They said it was their best game as far as a match against them.

Jonah had 3 hits...he ran in 3 times and had 3 plays as pitcher!  Also, the weather was PERFECT baseball weather!!!

on a Chore Chart!......

do-do-do-do-do-do-do do hi-ho hi-ho hi-ho hi-ho!!!!

We are trying to work out a "chore chart" in our family and figure out an allowance procedure versus chores they can do for extra money....one day we will figure it out!  Hopefully, we can find something that works that we can "stick with"!!!

I found this wall stick on decal that I put on a poster board...it doesn't pull off of it very well though!  I didn't have a wall in mind that I wanted to keep it out on all the time....

Today, Grandmama and Granddeaddy picked me up and we all went to visit Courtney at Shorter College!  She showed us around campus (from the cozy DRY van...since it was raining!)...and showed us her dorm.  Then we went to Five Guys and met Alan there and had lunch.

It was nice to spend some time with them!  After that Alan had to go get some things of hers from the dorm to take back home and Courtney had to head to class...

We left and drove through the Berry College campus and then we headed home...We made a side trip to the Barnesley Gardens (I THINK that is the name...how could I forget when we had to keep turning at the never ending signs to get us there!)  It wasn't much to write home about....not sure where the gardens were!

Today I headed out early to take Noah for his follow-up visit to the doctor about his sprained wrist.  Fortunately, it isn't broken and we will not need a cast!  Thank the Lord!

He wrapped it then told him to keep the splint on.  He said he could play tomorrow in his baseball game.  Woohoo!

Then, I headed to school to drop off Noah.  After that I had to get a bank statement printed so I could add it to the other financial information that I had a problem faxing or attaching to email this week-end...ugh....I took it to the agency in person to drop off so our short-sale specialist could turn it in to the lender with our offer for short-sale...it is unbelievably low...I wish WE could buy our house for that amount!!!  Seriously!  I am just ready for this to be over and done with.  Right now we are hoping they will postpone the foreclosure that is set for next month.  Then, we can work on them getting a new BPO (Broker Pricing Opinion) to see if the value of the house has declined and would "allow" them to accept a lower offer than previously.

On my way to the Real Estate agency...I was lost (not really...just didn't know where I was going exactly!-I knew right where I was!) and I came upon this view of Sawnee Mountain...

I went shopping after that and then headed home to work on bills-yeah!  We just got a packet from the IRS auditing us for our 2007 tax return so that is what I get to deal with next!  They want all KINDS of information about our excessive home mortgage interest....it was a crazy year with refinancing and penalties and high interest and the lenders selling to other lenders so we have a ton of lenders for that year!  They want WAY too much info.!:-(  I hope I still have it all!

We slept in this morning since we got back from the movies late!  Sarah spent the night and went to church with us and then we went to Cheeky Taqueria at the Avenues...It was really good.  But first Sarah, Alyssa and I went to Charming Charlies while the boys were looking around in Barnes and Noble....Here is my new outfit (well...new shirt, sweater and shoes!)  It has nothing to do with the store but I had Alyssa take a picture of me anyway!  We DO love this store though!  Great costume jewelry, bags, and other accessories that are inexpensive!

Today Jonah had a baseball game at 12:30 at MP and they won 11-9!  It was great!  He did pretty well...it was the PERFECT sunny weather with a breeze!!!

Later on Alyssa and I got ready to go to a play at FUMC...You're a Good Man Charlie Brown...Mama had invited me to her reception for her art festival there and then later told me she found out it was a private reception but did I want these tickets to the play.  I said sure...she brought them to me Wed. at the game and even told Alyssa about them...She said they would announce the 1st and 2nd place winners of the art contest during intermission, etc...

Sarah ended up coming with us and we rushed to get there on time...when we got out of the van and only saw people dressed up to go into what I figured was the reception and there was NO sign for the play I looked down at the tickets and realized it was NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT!!!!  Alyssa and I both thought Mama referred to it being this week-end...I guess we just assumed that...

SOOOOOooooooo, we decided to pick up Sarah some dinner since she hadn't eaten and we ran to Wal-Mart for some things....We went by AMC and checked movie times for us girls...since they wanted to see How To Train Your Dragon and the next one was at 9:40 we decided to take the boys since I promised them I would take them!  Chris decided to pass this time and finish his baseball game that ended up going 20 INNINGS!!!!  So, they took their showers, etc. and we picked them up at 8:45 and went to Brusters for icecream (yummy Chocolate Raspberry Truffle!!!) and then went to the movies....I didn't know it was only in 3-D so mine and Alyssa's tickets were $14.50 each!!!!  GEEZ!  That is insane~!  I came home telling Chris that we need to go to Venezuela just to go to the movies...one of their cheaper things (with our exchange rate at least!)....

Here are some pictures of the kids getting ready to go in to the movie!  We all really thought it was a great movie!!!

Today I went to MickeyD's and asked if they could please use a small cup or top to squirt some ketchup in it for me to use since I was in the car....This is what the guy brought me!

Well, today Chris and I met with our Pastor to discuss ministry work....It started out kind of tense with us airing our concerns and trying to reconcile our expectations.  However, it ended up better with us letting him know we are available to be there to help and we want him to try to find a place where he thinks we could fit in the missions plan (even if different than we had imagined) that he will formulate for the church.

I have learned a LOT about myself recently and a LOT about others.  I have also learned a lot about how churches "work" and I will be honest in saying that I am pretty disheartened with how "people" and "processes" oftentimes stop great things from getting accomplished for God's Kingdom.  I pray that the Lord will remove the road blocks if this is His will...but I do believe people can get in the way....He will work things for good in the end.....

I have realized that I think smaller churches oftentimes can accomplish more since there may be less red tape to go through and less people to manage.  Chris and I are realizing that our vision for how church "should be" is different than our church's view point and most churches in this area for that matter.

On a good note, my mom gave me a shirt last night to see if I would like it and if it fit.  I DO and it DOES!!!!

Yesterday, Wednesday, April 14th, Day 44, (Kimberly's 21st B'Day!!!!) Noah got off the bus and said his arm got hurt....he was crying...saying it got hurt on the playground.  They were playing dodgeball with a SOCCER BALL and he hit Josh C. in the face and he was starting to play rough...he pummeled the ball at Noah and he put his hand up to stop it from hitting him.  It hit his hand and knocked his wrist back...We went straight to Dr. Orris' office in the neighborhood.  Jonah played with Luke for about an hour and then they dropped him off at the doctor on their way out.  We waited until around 5:15 when Chris got there.  He brought us food since we were starving!  He took Jonah home to get him dressed for their game.  Noah and I stayed there and finally saw the doctor at about 6:00!  They x-rayed him and it didn't show a fracture.

BUT, it hurts where the growth plate is in the wrist and Dr. Orris said sometimes those fractures don't show up on x-rays but could on an MRI.  He didn't want us to have to go that route right now...so he gave Noah a splint/brace for his wrist and said not to play ball tonight (Thursday) and to lay low until next Monday.  We will take him in for a check-up at 7:30 that morning.  If it still is hurting then he will cast his wrist.  He said a sprain should be feeling better by then...I always thought it took longer for sprains to heal...We shall see!

We came home and grabbed the snacks for Jonah's team and went to the field.  My parents were there to see Jonah play.  Unfortunately, they lost horribly...unlike the other good games they have had so far...Of course, it is right after Spring Break...Jonah DID get 3 hits and caught a pop up fly ball though!

We went to Construct-A-Burger for shakes and to share a hamburger and fries after!

Grandmama is having some pain and burst blood vessels in her right eye...I was looking at it and then noticed her eyes have a bluish ring around them....They don't look normal...I tried to take a picture with my cell phone and this is what I got!  You can't see what I am talking about, but it IS a funny, SCARY picture! lol

Renee submitted an application to be considered for the Shuler Hensley Awards and the judges came out and judged Grease....Milton High School was nominated for 5 awards!  She had the awards ceremony tonight that are the the High School equivalent to the Tony Awards for Metro Atlanta.  Shuler Hensley is a famous Broadway Actor who is from Marietta.  He started these awards last year.

This year there were 39 schools who entered.  Renee's school was chosen as one of the top 6 for overall production so they performed one of their songs which was an honor!

Although Renee didn't win the award for Director or for Overall Production, etc...their lighting person, Sim Jones, won for best lighting design.

Noah's team, the Marlins, played the Bulldogs last night and the Bulldogs lead the entire time...but slowly but surely the Marlins pulled it together and caught up even with 2 bad calls on our team...one being an out that Noah got at the plate...it WAS an out but because the batter that had just been up had supposedly been hit on the helmut, they made the runner at third go BACK so we lost that out!  Ugh!  Plus, we had another weird call at first where Josh tried to catch a foul ball and barely tipped it and they said it made it a fair ball and so that runner got on first...

Noah did great...his first time up at bat he did hit it but got out at first.  The next time he hit it and got on base. He also got 2 outs at the plate!  (even though only one counted!)

The team ended up in the last minutes of the game tying up 9 to 9!!!  We will take that!

This is the song that we sang as a choir "special" with Christian yesterday.  He and Jismarie and some other friends wrote the song.  It was the "world premier" (lol) of it being performed with a choir!

We voted as a church to extend them the call and of course they accepted!  We are excited about our new worship pastor!

On Saturday, the Cirillos came over and gave the kids (and us!) Easter treats. :-)  We drove up to Dahlonega.  First we went to the newer neighborhood called Monteluce that the Beachams from our neighborhood have built.  Last year, Mama and Deaddy took Laura and I up there to eat at the restaurant on the vineyard.

We enjoyed the scenic route up there and driving through the neighborhood.  There had just been a wedding on the pond by the vineyard.  Me-maw and Poppy may go up and look again when the model homes are opened.  We didn't make it in time to walk through them and the kids were starving so I don't think they would have been patient enough to look anyway!

We then drove to downtown Dahlonega (not too far away) and we ate at The Smith House.  I had always heard how good it was.  It was very simple decor as you can see and they serve you family style.  It was actually good food that was not too greasy or salty.  The best food was the fried chicken, creamed corn, green beans, rolls, and lemonade.  We had strawberry shortcake with ice-cream for dessert.  We could barely finish it since we ate too much!  It was a good time....
