Yesterday I spent some time trying to formulate a support letter I could send out to the choir and band members at church to let them know what we plan to do in Venezuela this summer.  We are very excited about working with ICS (International Christian School of Caracas) and hope this will be the beginning of a long term relationship working with them.  We are praying that others see their vision and would like to help as well.  Chris and I discussed the e0mail letter and the changes I will make for our letter to go out to our family and friends.  I hope to get that out today!
Today I am taking care of bidness!  lol...You know, you call and get the bills straightened out and call and make appointments, etc.  I always have laundry waiting for me...I did some this morning and still have more!  Lots of socks to pair up!  I have to sew up a new jacket Noah just got that he left on the floor down in our garage and a critter decided to have it for dinner!  I also have to sew a button on one of Chris' shirts....

Tonight I will go to choir and practice my Cardboard Testimony we are doing on Easter.  Chris will be at Noah's game so I will have to have a "stand in" for him in practice!

On the 28th day I helped Noah print out items for his poster and log book to show at his Invention Display today.  Last night Jonah had a game...again they were leading at the beginning and then in the last 2 innings the other team came from behind and kicked into gear....:-(  Jonah got several outs as pitcher throwing to first though!

Today (Day 29) I went to see Noah display his Heliolar G-2 and what all of his classmates invented!  Very interesting!  Of course I think Noah's was one of the best!;-)
Today (Sunday) we focused on Noah's invention that he was supposed to be finishing up for his Horizons class this coming Tuesday...to be honest he had done a lousy job on the planning and log book, etc.  He had a good idea but just wasn't following through with the presentation part even though he had been told to work on it...He did have a month!  Trust me, there was much gnashing of teeth in the Cirillo household today!  But, we really worked on it and it is ALMOST done.  Today he will finish the foam board display with the pictures and explanation of the project and will finish putting together the log book.
After the baseball games I took Alyssa and Elizabeth shopping to use Alyssa's birthday gift cards to Kohl's and Dots.  We ended up running late to see Grease at Milton High School!  Ugh!  It was my first time ever running late to see one of Renee's plays/musicals...When we got there she had sold 2 of our 3 tickets (even though I had texted her back saying we were going to use the tickets AND we were only 5-10 minutes late!)...they ended up adding chairs on the side so it was all good...I hate running late!!!  Grease was great!  Evidently some of the parents got upset that at the end of Grease Lightning the guys took off their shirts (which wasn't part of the director's (Renee's) instructions!)...crazy thing is I didn't really notice because I was having to text back and forth to Chris about picking Noah up from Jackson's birthday party earlier than planned because his mom said they were all tired and couldn't make it to 9:30!  At the end of my texting was the end of Grease Lightning so I snapped this picture.  I wasn't even thinking about the boys taking their shirts off....it wasn't a big deal...but evidently it was to some!
Today we started off with Jonah's game.  Chris coaches their Yankee team.  They were running the score ahead the entire time until the END OF THE GAME and we lost 15 to 14!  Ugh!  It was a heartbreak!  Jonah got 3 hits last game that I wasn't at.  This time he got one hit and 2 strike outs....Jonah was the pitcher and got one or two outs at first.

Then we went straight to Noah's Marlin's game.  We won 8-2 or 3...!  It is our 2nd win of the season!  Yeah!  Noah got a good hit.and was walked.  Noah was catcher and outfield.

This afternoon I took Alyssa and Elizabeth shopping at Kohl's and Dots to use her gift cards and then we went to see Grease at Milton.  We were late (FIRST TIME EVER to see one of Renee's plays/musicals!)!  They sold 2 of our 3 tickets since we were 5-10 minutes late....they ended up adding chairs for us....Renee had texted me earlier in the day and asked if we were using the tickets and I said yes...Fortunately it all worked out and they started late so we didn't miss any!
I tried to add a nice pretty new template and I have had several problems...I figured out many of them...but I cannot figure out how to add the tabs that should be at the top of the template that should be for Home, Posts, Comments, and Edits...!!!!!!!!!!!  Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!  I really need to be able to EDIT from the posts and I cannot do it right now.  I have to go open a new tab to go back to Blogger.com to do it.  I am learning but I hope I can figure it out.  I don't want to have to get a new template again!
I went on Monday for my Post-Op and met with the PA that was in my surgery.  She said things looked good.  She took the surgical tape off that had been on for a week and a half.  She said it was normal for there to be a thickening of the skin underneath the incision and it will eventually thin out in time and that it will take many months to get healed.  I was feeling good and decided to go to Zumba that night...I even had my biker shorts on thinking that would be good for it to not be rubbed, etc...Well, I was just DUMB...the next day several steri-strips started coming off where the legs rub together.  Also, I thought I was sweating back there like I used to and wasn't paying much attention...I realized I was leaking out fluid...I did most of the day...I had Chris look at it that night and he said the incision was opened about a quarter of an inch!  I was a little disturbed by this and kept gauze on it since then.  I didn't happen anymore after Tuesday but I have taken it easy.  I tried to find steri-strips at the store...nada...no chance...It was itching a lot today and I was worried I might not have the incision healing correctly...(I had placed medical tape on one area with the gauze so it wouldn't pull apart!)  I went to Dr. Orris today to have him look at it.  He said it may have been good in the end that the fluid that was still in there that didn't drain, found its way out....He said it is a little infected so he didn't want to put more steri-strips on it.  They just put Neosporin on it and gauze and wrapped it around my leg.  I am thankful it is healing properly and that the Lord allowed the Dr. Rheudasil to do such a great job!!!.  I am doing great compared to what I thought I would be doing!  (Obviously, or I wouldn't have gone to Zumba PRE-maturely!!!)

On a different note, today I am wearing my new favorite shirt!  I have always wanted a shirt with a Cross on it.  I found one for a good price at my new favorite store DOTS!

Today I also went back to Nancy to get highlights/ lowlights!  I really like them...I wish they would have been a little more defined but like all the different colors in there.  It is easier to notice them in person rather than on this picture!
I know I shouldn't post this but just couldn't resist!  Alyssa stayed at home from school yesterday due to a bad cold and last night Chris was moving stuff around so he could get comfy on the sofa and found this on the floor!  It is Alyssa's not mine!  She would be totally embarrassed if she knew I put this on here but...oh well....lol

I got up and made pancakes for everyone then we got ready. The boys had to go to the baseball field...Noah for batting practice and Jonah for a game. I took the girls to the Avenues Forsyth and dropped them off at Chick-fil-A after I picked up food for the boys and I to take to the field. I left them there for an hour to walk around and window shop (BIG NEW PRIVILEGE!)...I ran back to watch a little of Jonah's game and then came and met them back at the AMC Theater to see Alice In Wonderland. We shopped a little afterwards and then went home.

I have been working all week getting ready for Alyssa's 13th birthday slumber party and running errands getting caught up from having surgery, etc.

Here is a new shirt I got from my new favorite store called DOTS! Alyssa loves it too! It is trendy clothing for inexpensive prices! (Right up my alley of course~!)

Noah had his 4th grade Wax Museum last Thursday (DAY 17) but I didn't post it. He was Button Gwinnett and we got to press his "button" and he recited information about who Button Gwinnett was....
I am not sure how to insert posts...I also cannot get the date off the top of the template! I tried to do that so I could then add in all my missing days on the same day and no one would pay attention to when I ACTUALLY ENTERED THEM....cannot figure it out! I need to find a new template...I had one months ago but cannot remember the website I found it on...another day...

Last night Dancing With The Stars started a new season...I watched about 30 minutes of it and will watch the rest today maybe. Jake from the Bachelor is on here....I still don't like how he picked Vienna....she is kind of ditsy and I think Jake was too into their physical relationship but he seems to sincerely like her. Should be an interesting season to watch with all the mixture of people on DWTS!

Well, I was trying to go back and put a post for each day that I missed entering and realized it still posted the current DATE up at the top so it wasn't working the way I wanted.... Yesterday on March 21st (my 20th day of this project) we had our 1st Quarterly B'Day party of the year for our family at Alan and Missy's house. We first went to their church to celebrate the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Discovery Church~! We enjoyed BBQ at the church and then went to Alan and Missy's house to hang out and have dessert and celebrate the birthdays.

Here is what I needed to work on MONDAY, MARCH 15, 2010! I INTENDED to get to most of it but only did a little. I ended up working on bills and going through mail, etc. I tried to keep my legs up. As you see I am not getting online to post each day like I was at first! So quickly I slack off! Well at least my surgery is a good excuse...I will try to get back in the saddle!
Chris is SO thrilled to get up at the 4:00 hour to be ready to leave around 5:00 to head to my surgery! He didn't want me to take a picture...

Here are my cool socks (probably cost $50!!!...lol) and my cool gown that is disposable. It had air vents in it that they hooked up to a hose in the OR to heat me up! I was still awake because I wanted to talk to the doctor and ask if he would have done sclerotherapy on my calf...he said he couldn't because they didn't have the stuff there...it was at the office...of course I was thinking...THIS IS A HOSPITAL! Don't tell me you don't have it here! Oh well...

They gave me the mask and after breathing in and out for about 15 seconds I was out! When I woke up I think I was messing with the oxygen tube in my nose and they told me to leave it alone. Fortunately I wasn't nauseous like I had been in the past...maybe they gave me medicine for it proactively. My incision didn't hurt near as much as I thought it would. I did have a drain for the excess capillaries so my body wouldn't have to absorb them and create a bruise. Overall, things went GREAT!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! I am having surgery to remove a big mass of veins on my right thigh in the upper back. We have to be at St. Joseph's at 5:30 AM!!!! They said the surgery will be at 7:30 so we will do a lot of waiting...They said there are 2 pre-op areas we will go through. I am not supposed to put any hair "products" on nor deodorant, perfume, make-up, etc...not sure if I will be able to abide by ALL those rules! Goodness...might need a little foundation! I don't want to SCARE the doctor!!! ;-)

I am supposed to keep this wrist band on for tomorrow. Today I went for my official Pre-Op and basically filled out paperwork and gave insurance information. I had my BP taken and bloodwork. No chest x-ray like I thought...I will be going in as an Outpatient then will be admitted for overnight.

Today, I am trying to get the floors vacuumed and mopped. I will be finishing changing the sheets and folding/ironing the laundry and getting it put away. Also need to clean the bathrooms and dust upstairs...Today is early release...didn't realize that until Carla called me yesterday to see if Gillian could come over today since she won't be in from her trip until after dark tonight. Thank GOD she called...it was right there on the calendar under where I wrote my Pre-Op appt.! We know what my priorities were! lol...

I left the key for Jayne to help the boys get in...they didn't have to be alone too long before I got home so it all worked out. I wish Middle School got out BEFORE Elementary! We will skip church tonight so I can tie up the loose ends so at least it is all tidy before I go tomorrow...it won't stay like that for long!

Tomorrow morning we are paying Amy to come a few minutes to 5:00 AM so she will be here to get the kids up and ready for school. My parents will be here for when they get off the bus and will help with homework, dinner, etc. Chris will have to leave the hospital tomorrow night around 5:00 because his Yankee team (Jonah's) has batting practice at Catch & Hit! At least I am in there on a Thursday night! It is a great TV night! lol

Going to get my haircut in about an hour...I will get it shaped back up in a "cool" haircut and have a relaxer to get the rest of this perm that I got in September! What was I thinking??? I KNOW what I was thinking...I was dreaming of it looking better than what it did! I won't be able to get my hair colored today since the solution they put on it will strip the color out. So, just a cut and relax today...I will hopefully make it back in a couple of weeks to finish the "do"...

Also, note the 2nd picture...I have these "MYSTERY HOLES" that I used to get A LOT in my cotton shirts but have not noticed them since moving here last summer...I thought maybe out old countertop has a scratchy area on it that might have picked my shirt or that my shorts that I wore might have rubbed a hole in them...Well, I just bought this shirt and wore it ONE TIME and today notice THE "MYSTERY HOLES"! AAAAAUUUUGGGHHHHH! Where did they come from? I tried to take tape out to the van to wrap the seat belt thinking it has a rough spot on it...didn't see anything on the driver's side...on the passenger side it could be a little rough but not where I think it would pick something. Besides, I don't think I was a "passenger" on the day that I wore this shirt! The mystery continues...hopefully I figure it out soon before more clothes get ruined! ;-(

The other day I went to get something out of the freezer that is over our garage and this is what I found...I heard Noah say he "saved" the snowman named "Tim" that he made and put it in the freezer...well, I imagined it would just be a big ball of snow like when they save snowballs in the freezer but this is what I found! I meant to take a picture but never got around to...I went to get food out today and decided I better record this moment before I forget!

I love the LEGO eyes! lol

P.S. Yes, I DO realize I need to defrost my freezer! It got bad when the kids didn't close it all the way one time!!!

Well, this week-end our youth had their Disciple Now retreat. This is the first one Alyssa participated in. She brought our old neighbor, Sarah, as well. From what I understand they all had a great time. The speaker was Dave Rhodes and the worship leader was Aaron Keyes. It is funny because Sarah LOVED Aaron and doesn't usually listen to Christian music but Alyssa didn't care for him and said she would prefer to hear a choir (which was a surprise to hear!)...

I prayed that Alyssa would get to know some of the other 7th grade girls better and Jody (her S.S. teacher and host home) said that she felt she did that. Alyssa said that she did too so that is a huge answer to prayer!

The Youth led worship with their band and Dave was the speaker this morning. He spoke about Daniel this week-end and how just because you live in this world you don't have to be of it and do what every one else does.

I have noticed Jonah keeps taking one sock off (and just throwing it wherever!!!) and staying like that and I wondered why...I was thinking he was hot...kind of like the one leg out/one leg in the covers kind of sleeper that I am!

Ok...mystery solved! I asked Jonah this morning if it is the same foot's sock that he always takes off and he said yes...I asked if it was hot and he said no...I asked if there was a reason and he said yes! He came downstairs and showed me how he puts his left knee on a little Hess truck and likes that foot to "slide" on the ground and he uses his "sockfree" foot on the right to push his body around the room on the truck! He has done this recently some but I think he has had the sock off more than that...hhmmm...but he doesn't put it back on...he will go all day and all night sleeping like that!

Well, in January our family joined the YMCA in our neighborhood. It has been great...I have even had Alyssa going a good bit until we got out of the habit a couple of weeks ago of going at night....I sometimes use the recumbent bike or the weight machines but my new FAVORITE thing to do is ZUMBA! This week I went Monday night (ran into Kelley Janzen from church and invited her to join me since she was there to work out anyway...she LOVED IT!), Tuesday morning, Thursday at 9:40 for the regular class then 10:45 for the Zumba gold where it is more for toning (use weights), AND today I went at 12:00!!! I "snuck" this picture to show that I was, indeed, there and that this is my perspective...I am always in the back on the left....lol...

For those of you who don't know what Zumba is...it is a "hot, latin-inspired, aerobic dance workout that combines salsa, reggaeton, meringue, tango, flamenco, calypso, hip hop, samba and belly dancing"!!!

When we lived in Caracas, I never learned how to salsa...I did the meringue and tried to dance...NOW I can join them! Funny it took me going to the "Y" to learn!

Okay, where have all the forks gone? When we got married we were very fortunate to receive many more than the 12 place settings of flatware! I realize some of the spoons have been injured in the disposal (oops!) but I try to not to LOSE them! I think we are low on spoons also though...But the forks...hhmmm...I am thinking that when the kids throw the paper plates away they must have thrown the forks with them sometimes! I mean where else would they be? We go through the forks (dinner and dessert) so fast and have to keep washing them OR pulling them back out of the dishwasher to hand wash them so we have something to eat with!

Well...Matthew and his twin sister, Justine, spent the night downstairs last night since we were out of school today...They all slept in sleeping bags on the floor...Noah, Jonah (part of the night ended up in our bed!), Matthew, and Justine. I think they assumed there would be lots of ice today but of course that didn't happen and it is sunny and melted~!

I am including a picture of a fort I built for them this morning...not my best work but it represents something for the day!

Well, I am inspired by niece, Ansley, to participate in the 365 project journaling with a photo what goes on in my daily life...hhhmmm...should be interesting what goes here....will I run out of ideas??? Stay tuned! I am still trying to figure this whole blog thing out! So, that is another new thing!

Today it snowed after a beautiful day yesterday! I wouldn't have believed our kids are getting early release in just a few minutes!

This is the view outside my home office window...Jonah's new art picture of a lion is in it too! Didn't he do a great job?!?
